Rails Inc. is a non-profit volunteer community-based action group, whose mission is to advocate for passenger rail service in New Mexico.  To this end, we have long advocated for the restoration and expansion of long-distance passenger rail routes through New Mexico, as part of a nationwide interstate rail system, as expansive as the interstate freeway system.

We advocate rail as a more environmentally-friendly, affordable, safer, and more fuel and land efficient mode of transportation. Given all these advantages, we wish to see rail return as the dominant mode of transportation across the country.
